Ryan is a California Licensed Masonry Contractor, a Certified Masonry Heater Builder- (Masonry Heater Association of North America), and a regional Tulikivi dealer.

Ryan's primary experience in the last 20 years has been spent working with stone. 

    His creations include: free standing stone walls, retaining walls, patios, stairs, veneers, stone buildings, Masonry Heaters, Tulikivis, and Historical Restoration- including work on historic buildings in Humboldt county

    His Journeyman years included work with Steve Sak a Stone Mason of Isreali/French lineage in Nevada City, CA and later  with master stone mason Thomas Vanacore in Middlebury, Vermont. Ryan also has a BA in Religious Studies and Drama from Humboldt State University.

    Ryan and Humboldt Hearthstones build creations that are inspired by traditional masonry architecture as well as natural forms. ​
